The people of Lebanon must be thrilled that the US has their back on security issues. As State Department spokesman Phillip J. Crowley says:

We are committed to Lebanon's security.

So, when the next Israeli invasion takes place, we can expect the US to do something different from the past?

No, just more cheering on of the 'birth pangs' of a new Middle East.
